Mason Raymond on his way home

Former Canuck Mason Raymond has signed a two year deal with the Calgary Flames. Raymond was born in the small town of Cochrane, Alberta about a 30 minute commute to Calgary, so this signing comes as no surprise as Raymond goes home and the Flames are able to sign a hometown boy.

The Canucks were contemplating whether or not they should offer Raymond a contract, giving the free agent an opportunity to pursue every hockey player’s dream; to play for their hometown team.

Barry was told the #Canucks have not decided yet on whether they will make Raymond an offer or not.

Whether or not Raymond can help jumpstart this Calgary offense or if he will continue to fall down hit the ice (literally) each and every shift, remains to be seen.
